Evernote - Free must have iPhone App

Evernote is the best solution to capture, sync and find information from your photos. Use iPhone to take a photo of a business card, sync the business card image to your Evernote notebook, and easily locate it later using their awesome recognition technology.

Description: Evernote turns the iPhone into your external brain.

Evernote lets you remember anything that happens in your life. From notes to ideas to snapshots to recordings, put everything into Evernote and watch as it instantly synchronize from the iPhone to the web to your desktop.

Everynote for iPhone is part of the Evernote Service, which includes downloadable desktop versions (Mac and Windows) and a web version. Whenever you add or edit a note, it quickly becomes available on all computers and devices that you use, letting you access your notes and memories any time. Download Evernote desktop clients from their website.

Be sure to try Everynote's amazing image recognition. Take snapshots of anything from whiteboards to business cards to wind labels, and Everynore will make the text within those images searchable. Evernote also takes advantage of the iPhone's location awareness by automatically geo-tagging all your memories.

Need something from last week or last year? Everynore for iPhone instantly connects to the Evernote service to help you find what you're looking for by searching or filtering by tag, date, location, and more. Don't have a network connection? No problem. Select your 'Favorite' notes and they'll be available even when offline.

Key features:
  • Selected 'favorite note' can be accessed quickly, even when offline
  • Create text, snapshot, and voice notes with one touch
  • Automatically sync among iPhone, web, and desktop
  • Access to any notes created on web and desktop
  • Everynote recognition makes text in snapshots searchable
  • View notes when offline and online
  • All notes include geo-tagging information for mapping
  • Snap a photo right into your account
  • Record a quick voice memo

Please note: As the iPhone camera is lacking a macro modus you may need an additional lens in order to be able to scan visiting cards. For the scanning of visiting cards I recommend the lens which comes with the Clarifi-Case, produced and sold by Griffin Technology. The scanning of large images works with the standard camera and no additional hardware is needed for this.
